	Why Home Health Care? There's no place like home, especially when you are recuperating from surgery or a hospital stay. Your own bed, your family and friends are familiar and comforting. Being in your own home gives you a sense of independence, privacy and control. Home care is a safe and economical way to receive the help you need. How do I receive home care? You, your family, your doctor, nurse, the hospital or nursing home may call our office at 970-928-0601. We will check with your physician to determine the type of care you need. If required, we will come to your home for a free evaluation visit. If it is determined that you would benefit from home health care and that you meet the eligibility requirements of your insurance, you will begin receiving home care, usually within 24 hours of the referral. You will be notified of the cost of your care at the time you begin receiving services. How do I pay for home care? Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance companies will pay for home health care. There are usually several criteria required: You must be under the care of a physician You must have a limited ability to leave home The type of care you need requires the skills of a nurse, speech therapist or physical therapist.Our staff will help you check with your insurance company to determine if you are eligible for services. If you do not have insurance, home care may be an economical choice for care. 	These are the services Med-Psych Healthcare Services can provide in the home. Medical Skilled Nursing: Full medical services of traditional home health for treatments such as wound care, high-tech infusion, Foley care, diabetic management, skilled observation and assessment, and many other nursing procedures. Services rendered by Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses consistent with a treatment plan established by the patient's attending physician. Psychiatric Nursing: Registered Nurses trained in psychiatric treatment care for patients with emotional disorders consistent with the physician's care plan. Medication monitoring and management and one-to-one intervention are some of the psychiatric nurse's duties.
